How to get there
The quickest route to the airport is via the A4 Airport Motorway, which leads southeast from the city centre. Take the exit marked ‘Flughafen’ (meaning ‘airport’) and follow the road directly to the terminal.
The City Airport Train (tel: (01) 25250; www.cityairporttrain.com) runs to the City Air Terminal at Wien Mitte station in central Vienna (journey time: 16 minutes; fare: €11).
The overground S-Bahn (tel: (05) 1717; www.oebb.at) connects the airport to Wien Mitte and Wien Nord stations (journey time: 25 minutes; fare: €4.20). Connections to the Vienna U-Bahn (underground rail) system are available from these stations.
Vienna Airport Lines buses (www.postbus.at) operate to Wien Mitte (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: €8), Südbahnhof and Westbahnhof railway stations, as well as to Wien Schwedenplatz and UNO City (United Nations complex). Buses depart from outside the central arrivals hall.

Taxis to the city leave from outside the central arrivals hall. Taxis are offered by a range of providers, including Airport Driver (tel: (01) 22822; www.airportdriver.at), Total Taxi (tel: 664 250 5005; www.totaltaxi.at) and C&K (tel: (01) 44444; www.cundk.at). Fares into the city centre start at €25 (but the average fare is around €33) and the journey time is generally around 20 minutes, depending on traffic. There are five car parks with space for more than 20,000 vehicles in total. The short-term K1 (for drop-off) and K3 (for pick-up) car parks are directly opposite the terminal. The long-term multistorey car parks P3 and P4 are connected to the terminals, while car park C is opposite the Office Park.
