How to get there
From the city centre, follow Route 6 (Friedrich-Ebert-Straße), turning on to Route 281 in Bremen Neustadt. The airport is clearly signposted.
Tram 6 (see Public Transport Road) operates direct to the main city railway station, where trains depart to destinations all over Germany and beyond.
Bremer Straßenbahn Line 6 (tel: (421) 55960; www.bsag.de) operates regularly (every 10 minutes during the day) from Bremen’s main railway station and university, and runs directly to the airport. The single fare is €2.50, and the journey time is approximately 10-15 minutes into the city centre.
Bus 52 (tel: (421) 55960; www.bsag.de) also runs, every 30 minutes, into the city, also for a ticket price of €2.50. Long distance buses operate to Hamburg and the northern Netherlands.
The airport taxi rank is outside the main terminal complex. Official taxis are cream-coloured, and the journey time into the city is up to 20 minutes depending on traffic. The fare is about €10.
4,500 parking spaces, both long and short-term, are available at City Airport Bremen. The closest parking area is just 30 metres (35 yards) from the main terminal. Parking can be reserved in advance (tel: (421) 55950, or via the airport website).
